As many of you know, I have a huge collection of iguanas, most of which are refugees from three different Florida breeders. We have found it necessary to relocate the entire collection to another state. I recently lost my job and wasn’t eligible for unemployment, so this goal has been put on ice until the funds are available. I am working on getting back on my feet, but the timing has been incredibly unfortunate since I got accepted into Harvard and am currently paying out of pocket in addition to my regular bills.
This needs to be done as soon as possible to minimize several complications. We need to set up habitats in the new location, which will require purchasing new cages. We will have to set up half of the cages ahead of moving the animals to ensure that the animals are settled in quickly. The drive will take two days, so additional delays in settling the animals will add undue stress.
