Help Raise Wrongfully Lost University Savings

Donation protected
For the past three months, I have been saving money from my part-time job at Tim Hortons, as well over the summer working at my church. I have been working tirelessly to save for housing in Mississauga, as I am attending the University of Toronto for first-year computer science. It has been a dream to go to a school such as UofT, and so I put in the work, and worked on my own time to make this dream come true, despite not having the most financially well-off family. On Saturday, August 4th, I visited a housing prospect in Mississauga. The room was small and far from campus. I had bad feelings about the place, but due to driving so far, my father was driven to a state of urgent thinking. I gave the lady the three bank drafts she asked for, each worth 875 dollars in her name to hold the place. Immediately after giving the drafts and leaving, I had a bad feeling. Nearly an hour later, I called the lady and told her I was no longer going to proceed with the room. I could not get myself to justify what I was paying for. She hung up on me, and a few days later cut her email as well as her phone so that I could not reach her whatsoever. On Wednesday, I discovered that she had cashed the drafts without attempting to further contact or discuss with me and had left me roomless. I contacted the bank, the London police, PEEL Regional Police, Mississauga city, the Landlord and Tenant review Board of Ontario, and no one could help me. I have not been able to personally contact this lady, and she has cashed the three months of rent that I so desperately worked for. Currently, I have nothing to show for the savings that were going towards my future education. I have been left with no room and no money. The deadline for school is approaching rapidly, and so I won't have the time to work for the amount that was stolen which was crucial for my startup in September. Any financial help from anyone would be immensely appreciated, as it is duly needed in order for me to attend school this fall season. My story has been broadcasted on Consumer SOS Global TV by Sean O’Shea in hopes that I recover what was taken from me, as well as warn others about the dangers of housing prospects. No amount of compensation has been guaranteed on my end from the lady or from Sean O’shea so any donations to my GoFundMe campaign are appreciated and will not go unnoticed.  By donating, you are helping me recover what I have wrongfully lost. My only wish is to not have to worry about how I am going to afford rent, but rather spend that focus on my studies. School begins on September 5th, and so any donations until then or even after are all appreciated. Thank you so much for helping me! **Update -- link to story broadcasted https://globalnews.ca/video/5744663/global-news-at-530-aug-8-5 -- due to being under 18, all proceeds will be collected by my father, but redirected to myself
