Hey guys! Most of you know me and my 5 crazy kiddos. Noah is 8, Benjamin is about to be 7, Fiona is 5, and my twins are almost 3! I developed a virus while pregnant with the twins, causing them to both have special needs and delays.
I always try to make the best out of every situation, but its getting harder and harder. My family and I were living with my parents in Oakland. My parents were struggling with bills, and we were struggling with childcare, so we were going to help each other.
After a tumultuous 8 years, my husband and I separated in May, and he eventually decided to move out of state for "better opportunities." By September, my parents foreclosed on their home. Since then, my parents, 5 children, and myself have been living in a hotel. We have two beds, and a mini fridge. Not only am I paying for our nightly stays, we are forced to eat out every night, which as you can imagine, is extremely costly. And of course this is on top of bills, and medical necessity items my daughters need (glasses, hearing aids etc). I am struggling. Without any help from my husband, barely getting by is an understatement.
I have applied for state assistance, I make too much money. I have applied for homes, I don't make enough money. We are grossly stuck in this situation, and I am trying like hell. My goal has been trying to keep the kids within the school system. Their friends, YOUR children are what's helping them get through this.
So here I am, asking for help! I am trying to get my children out of the hotel and into a HOME. I appreciate any and all of your help. THANK YOU
