<div>Hello, my name is Tony Maddalena, and I am a fellow referee alongside Ron Sutherland. Ron has recently undergone leg amputation due to diabetes complications.

<div>Significant home modifications are necessary before Ron can return to his home. In the meantime, he will be staying in a temporary assisted housing facility, with costs of over $4000 per month, as he undergoes rehabilitation and awaits a prosthetic leg.
</div>

<div>Ron has been a fixture in soccer, basketball and school sports in the Niagara Region for many years.
</div>
<div>For the past 24 years Ron has dedicated himself to sports in Niagara, making it his profession. Ron is the Convener for the Niagara Region High School Athletics Associations , boys and girls soccer and basketball leagues.
</div>

<div>Ron is also soccer referee and assigner for Soccer Referees in Niagara and also serves as an Official for the Niagara District Referees Association, as well as Club Head Referee and assignor for the Lincoln Soccer Club.
</div>
