Help Reese Walk and Run Again

Our beloved Reese has become severely ill.  Just a few months ago, he was a vibrant and playful pup.  After getting his rabies and distemper vaccines in June, he developed an auto-immune reaction which resulted in Reese experiencing difficulty in walking and now has severe paw knuckling/front leg paralysis. He has been on Doxycyline and Rimadyl with no improvement.  He has had X-rays, blood work, and joint taps which all came back normal.  Nevertheless, his vet started him on steroids (Prednisone) and he still did not show improvement. In spite of all the medications, both of Reese's forelimbs are now paralyzed.

We have contemplated about putting Reese to sleep to prevent him from experiencing any more pain and exhausting procedures, but he is such a sweet dog and, despite his current situation, still is full of life and has so much energy. He is only just about to turn 2 years old! 

We are currently trying a holistic/alternative medicine approach with Reese. He receives acupuncture treatment every week and his holistic vet believes that there is still a chance for Reese to regain strength in his front legs and eventually walk again. We have the same mindset as well; however, Reese's situation is severe and healing will take time.  

Reese's regular vet has also recommended that we take Reese to a neurologist for additional testing and most likely additional procedures.

As Reese cannot walk without us holding him up with a harness, and more so, run like he used to, we are considering getting him a front wheel cart, so he can at least exercise his hind legs and have a chance to go on walks again. He still shows eagerness to play especially when we take him outside. 

It breaks our hearts to see Reese unable to walk, run and play.  Please help us at least give him a chance to have a normal life and be able to walk and run again.
