<div>Almost two years have passed since our fire - but work has finally began! We have the timber frame currently being constructed off site and the ground works have commenced!

<div>We are currently quantifying the shortfall in our funding...but needless say, there is a significant balance to cover! We will start soon increasing our fundraising efforts once again to allow the building to come back looking better than ever! 
</div>

<div>Pavilion Update - 14 December 2025

<div>The committee continues to work hard behind the scenes to progress the pavilion rebuild project. We have almost concluded the tender process which will appoint the contractors to commence our rebuild.
</div>

<div>As we have moved through this process, it has become clear that, although the club was and remains fully insured, the club contribution to the rebuild, to take account of the pavilions larger footprint, is likely to be significant (six figures plus!)
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are therefore re-launching our Rebuild GoFundMe page for anyone wishing to make a contribution/a new contribution towards our future pavilion.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Although we will be exploring England Cricket Board Loans and other funding sources, any additional donations towards our club will be hugely appreciated.
</div>

</div>
<div>The club has been successful in a number of other funding applications recently to ensure our facilities are the best in Devon, however these funds must be used for specific projects and cannot be allocated towards our rebuild.
</div>

<div>Over a month has passed since the fire and progress is being made in the background to rebuild our magnificent pavilion

<div>Access to the parklands carpark has now been made wider to allow machinery and skips to enter the ground to clear the metal and timber left behind in the fire. Hopefully this should be done over the next week or so and allow the site to look a little tidier! For anyone wishing to continue using the parklands carpark, please take extra care when driving over the cattle grid.

<div>Behind the scenes discussions are on going and plans are being drawn up for our replacement pavilion. Watch this space. There will be an opportunity for all club members to comment on plans and offer input at the relevant time!

<div>Positive news has been received from our insurers, which although this was never really in doubt, it is a massive relief to know that we have all the appropriate cover.
</div>

<div>The GoFundMe page is still active and we are nearing our target. The funds have been ring-fenced and will be used towards special purchases for the new pavilion and future of our club. For anyone still wishing to donate you will find the link pinned to the page.

<div>The insurance company have now allowed us to start the clean up, which has begun with a first sift of the rubble to locate anything still remaining - which sadly is not much, but a few trophies, the old clock, weather vane etc have all been salvaged, and after some love, care and attention might look something like their former glory!

<div>Sadly on the morning of Friday 16th August 2024 we lost our beautiful pavilion at Knightshayes, Tiverton due to fire. On behalf of everyone at the club we wish to thank Devon and Somerset Fire Brigade for their assistance and efforts to control the fire. It is understood by the club the cause of the fire was an electrical fault.

<div>Everyone connected to the club and in the cricketing community are deeply shocked and saddened by these events. We were incredibly proud of our remarkable clubhouse, built by club members and the community in 2012, however a club is more than just a building. A club is defined by its community and rest assured we will rebuild the Clubhouse.
