Jaelia is creating this fundraiser for their parents’ family restaurant, Ohana Island Grindz, a place that means so much to their family and to the Makawao community. Ohana Island Grindz is more than a small business. It is a gathering place where people come for good food, familiar faces, and the kind of warmth that makes everyone feel welcome. Over the years, this restaurant has been built with hard work, love, and a deep commitment to serving the community that has supported Jaelia’s family. 
 
 
 After Hurricane Lala, Ohana Island Grindz suffered devastating damage. The storm destroyed the back of the building, tore apart the deck and bathroom, and caused the roof to cave in. What was once a lively, welcoming space is now facing major repairs before it can reopen and serve the community again. Donations from this fundraiser will go toward repairs, rebuilding, and whatever else is necessary to help Ohana Island Grindz get back on its feet. Any support, whether through a donation or by sharing this fundraiser, would mean so much to Jaelia’s family and to all the people who know and love this restaurant.
