Help Marcia Kummerle rebuild her farm and Good Fibrations
Donación protegida
Please help us rebuild Marcia Kummerle's home, barn, and livelihood, all of which were devastated by Hurricane Helene.
Marcia is the owner of Good Fibrations in Barnardsville. She is the "fairy goat mother" to so many of us in our community and has continued nurturing her farm, craft and community as she prepares to celebrate her 80th birthday!
When Hurricane Helene came through on September 27th, the raging storm took out her barn and sigificantly damaged her home and studio.
She lost almost everything, escaping as the flood waters swept through with just her dog and the clothes on her back. Her precious angora goats and her cat were swept away. All her inventory was destroyed. Her barn and attached home have been severely damaged.
Our goal is to help her start to rebuild. We have organized a work party starting October 19th. All labor will be donated, but the cost of rebuilding will be great.
Please help this wonderful, talented human who means so much to so many rebuild her life and livelihood.
Who we are
This GoFundMe is being managed by Marcia's daughter, April and me, Laurie Jenkins. I met Marcia through our mutual love of goats and fiber. She has always been a mentor and an inpiration. So many of us are heartbroken by her loss.
