Today, my father and my 83-year-old grandmother lost their home in an aggressive and fast-moving fire in Bulls Gap, Tennessee. In just minutes, their house — and everything inside it — was completely gone. By the grace of God, they escaped with their lives, along with their sweet dog, Bear. But they’ve lost absolutely everything, including their only vehicle, which appears to be a total loss.

Tragically, their homeowners insurance had lapsed in February, and there’s no safety net to fall back on. My grandmother is elderly with serious health issues, and my dad, 61, has already overcome the unimaginable — he has literally died and come back twice in the last seven years, battling significant ongoing health challenges since.

Now they are left with nothing — no home, no clothes, no food, no transportation. Just survival.

I’m currently over 6 hours away in Indiana, and I am doing everything I can to help from here. But we’re not a wealthy family, and right now we need all the help we can get
