My community in the Philippines needs help!

Hi, my name is Meaghan and my family is from Cebu, Philippines. Cebu was hit by a 6.9 magnitude earthquake this morning (9/30). The damage was catastrophic— 27 people were killed, Cebu’s historic church has been severely damaged, and my family and neighbors have lost their personal belongings and homes.

My mom lives in Cebu with my aunt and my grandpa. This morning, she sent pictures of her house with cracks in the foundation, bruises on her arms, and broken things throughout her house. She has never been so scared in her life. And my auntie is absolutely devastated that her newly renovated store is now destroyed. Some of the pictures included are from my mom.

My heart aches for my community in Cebu.
