UPDATE! The KY Governor has announced memorial expenses will be covered for all deceased members from the disaster! What a major blessing! Many thanks to the Governor of Kentucky!

Also, to all those who have made a donation: Ed sends his most heartfelt thank you! He has extremely limited service and is unable to post on here. He has asked me to make sure I let each of you know just how much it means to him and his family. They are digging through the rubble to salvage any small thing possible.

FEMA is providing TEMPORARY campers for the displaced, but these will be snatched out from under these folks with very little notice. This is the standard! Ed has the physical ability to create some sort of structure if we can help with the means!

London, KY is a small town in Eastern Kentucky. In many ways, time has stood still in many parts of this small town. I have been going there at least once a year my entire life. This is my mom’s hometown, where my grandparents lived until they passed, and I still have many family members who reside there. We have a family reunion here every year where our family comes together to catch up and talk about the “good ole days.” Thankfully, our family was spared from too much loss, just a small amount of damage, but nothing compared to others.

My brother and I have a childhood friend, Ed Hughes, who has lost everything! Not only has he lost his home (which was his late mother’s home), he also lost his late sister’s home and inside was his mother-in-law, Nancy Clem, the mother of Elaine Thompson. He and Elaine have suffered nothing short of a devastating loss in this catastrophic event. They are now faced with figuring out how they will lay their mother to rest all while figuring out how to rebuild from an unrecognizable pile of rubble.

If God leads you to give, please consider doing so. If you are unable to give, please consider sharing and praying for all of the families and lives lost. This disaster is absolutely devastating to this community. Many did not have insurance coverage. This is not a community of dominant wealth and resources. They need all the help they can get.
