Help Julia and Jason Rebuild After Devastating Home Invasion
EDITED TO ADD:
Thank you so much to everyone who shared, donated, reached out, and took the time to read and try to offer help. Homeowners insurance has started to go into effect and My sister (Julia) has asked that I shut down the GoFundMe due to feeling so grateful for what they have donated. I just wanted to thank everyone so much! :)
Hi, I am making this in hopes of helping my sister and brother-in-law. Neither of them would ever ask for money but they are in extremely hard times currently so I am making this for them. They are the most giving people I know and I hope to give back to them somehow. They were gone for less than 24 hours, leaving at almost midnight Monday night when someone broke into and completely THRASHED their home. They broke a lot of valuable stuff and caused thousands and thousands of dollars worth of damage. The woman was still in their home hiding when they returned and had to be extracted by a police K9. They do have homeowners insurance, but their deductible is $1,000, which doesn't cover all the smaller things that are adding up. They keep an extremely clean home so hopefully by seeing the pictures you can see the severity of the damage. There were so many other things that you do not see as well. Her car and house keys were stolen, and they had to get the car and house rekeyed last night costing $1,100 alone. The woman flooded their bathroom and kitchen and left the water to sit so it damaged their floors. Every single food item, in their cupboards and refrigerator was poured out EVERYWHERE into EVERYTHING. Every cupboard and dresser had everything removed and replaced with food or random things from the bathroom. Eggs cracked in flower vases, milk products mixed inside her coffee pot, baking soda in their dishwasher, the list goes on. My sister's wedding dress was out of its protective cover and on the ground. Her expensive vacuum was broken. Momentos from Mexico ruined. Both bedrooms had wet beds. My sister's clothes are torn and the woman was wearing some of her clothes when she was arrested from their house yesterday. There is so much more to add, but just to give an idea. They are looking at thousands of dollars to recuperate from this invasion. My sister just lost her beloved dog in late June to cancer and they are still almost $5,000 in debt from that on top of regular bills. I am hoping to raise anything I can for them. All of the money goes directly to them. Even if all you can do is share, we would be extremely grateful. They are extremely hard working and I do not know people more deserving than them in this time of need. Thank you for reading!

I am adding the pictures, GoFundMe crops them a lot so I am struggling to get the whole picture in there but hopefully whoever sees this gets the idea. I am going to try to add videos as well. Thank you!
