Help Rebeca's College Education

Our daughter Rebeca came with us almost 18 years ago to the USA as immigrants. In the process, we had to pay about 10,000 dollars (immigration fees, lawyers, etc.), but we took every step to make it the way it's supposed to be done. But even though we have been working very hard for all these years, a series of circumstances and people taking advantage of us not knowing any better,  having being scammed and tricked because of our naiveté by one of those "prosperity" churches into buying a house we couldn't afford, our finances have been horribly affected by those decisions and we've been carrying that burden for years, and unfortunately it seems it's far from over...This situation has made us unable to help our oldest daughter financially to go to college. She is still going, she has been accepted in over 20 colleges, and she has worked so hard that she achieved the "Summa Cum Laude" distinction in the two technical colleges she has attended while working on her high school diploma and taking several subjects she will not have to take know in college, and also getting an associate's degree in the process. Her ACT score is excellent, and as dedicated and hard-working as she is, she has to see how other kids called "dreamers" get offered full rides and all kinds of help and assistance that she couldn't receive, even though she has applied for hundreds of scholarships. The truth is she has been offered many, but she had to choose the cheapest college she could afford, and still she will have to end up paying close to 50,000 dollars; no "full ride" for her...In her application process, she even tried to bypass the payments to send the transcripts, since schools charge to send them to another institution, and that college in question she asked them if they could bypass the payment (other colleges had done it for her) had an administrator send an email to her by mistake, since it was intended to be sent to another administrator saying "this person again...If she can't afford to sent the transcripts, DON'T APPLY!!!" As you can imagine this made my daughter feel such dismay and sadness...(ourselves too). After all the hard work, receiving an email by mistake from a college in her state where an admission's administrator feels that way about her... We feel, as her parents, that she deserves much better, and in a way it's unfair since she is no average student, she has really worked VERY HARD. So we will try to help her in any way we can. Doing this fundraiser is something that I've been pondering for a long time, at times feeling guilty to even think about doing something like this. But feeling that it really is unfair for her, if it helps her in any way to achieve her dreams (becoming an Architect) it's more than worthy. She is still planning on getting a job while in college and this fundraiser is only a means to making it a bit less hard for her. Anything to help her is more than appreciated and thanks beforehand.
