As a reading teacher and librarian, our goal is to foster a love of books in our students and show them the power of storytelling. One of the most impactful ways to do this is by connecting them directly with the minds behind the stories they read—real, live authors! That’s why we're seeking support to bring Ginny Meyers Sain to our school for an engaging, interactive author visit.

This experience will not only deepen our students’ connection to the book and their related coursework, but will also help them see that authors are real people—people just like them—who turn their ideas into stories that can change the world. Meeting an author can spark inspiration, boost confidence in their own writing, and motivate them to read more. Many of our students rarely have the opportunity to meet professional writers, and this visit will make literature come alive in a way that classroom lessons alone cannot.
