<div>My name is Ray Sherry. I am a liver transplant recipient.

<div>My personal journey started in 2005 when I was diagnosed with a rare condition called Primary Sclerosis Cholangitis (PSC) which would one day require a liver transplant.
</div>

</div>
<div>At the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2021, I was incredibly lucky to receive a transplant at the Royal Free Hospital, London. My journey from recovery through to full fitness has been amazing, not least since I joined the Royal Free Transplant Cycling Team. Since then I've taken part in 3 British Transplant Games, with the goal of qualifying for the World Transplant Games, Dresden in August 2025, as part of the Great Britain Team.

<div>After working very hard over the past 3 years my dream of representing my country is about to come true. Winter training has been excellent and I'm giving myself a really good chance of a podium place.
</div>

<div>Now I need your donations to get to the games and to take part in either the 10K or 20K time trial and the 30K road race. The money raised will be used purely for the purpose of getting to and participating in the games. This includes:-

<div>3) 1 Return Flight, with luggage and bicycle carry case
</div>
<div>4) Accommodation for 3 nights

<div>Donations will not be used for personal items such as Team GB kit, Team GB cycling kit, food/drink or any other form of entertainment.

<div>My final thoughts go to my donor and his family. It is to their sacrifice and courage that I am alive today, and able to share this great honour with an amazing group of people who are all lucky enough to have been given a second chance in life.
