In a devastating house fire, Raquel and her two children managed to escape, but Roy, the loving father and partner, did not survive. Now, Raquel and her daughters are fighting for their lives and trying to recover from both physical and emotional wounds, all while mourning the loss of Roy and the home they once knew.

 Raquel has been my best friend for over 15 years, and I am the unbiological aunt to her two daughters. Seeing them go through this heartbreak is incredibly difficult, and I want to do everything I can to help them rebuild. They have lost everything—memories, belongings, and the sense of safety that comes with having a home. On top of that, they are now facing the overwhelming costs of finding a new place to live and giving Roy the burial he deserves.
