<div>Raquel Mora, my grandmother, my best friend, my family’s heart, is the kind of woman who lights up every room she walks into. She’s the one who prays over us before we sleep, who finds the strength to take care of everyone else even when she’s the one in pain. She’s the one who taught us faith, kindness, and laughter and who still finds reasons to smile, even on the hardest days. She really is and always has been my hero. To know Raquel Mora is to love Raquel Mora.

<div>When we first heard the words “stage 4” and “inoperable,” our entire world shattered. Nothing could prepare us for this moment. Doctors told us her cancer couldn’t be removed, that there was nothing they could do surgically. But giving up has never been in her nature, and it isn’t in ours either.

<div>Now, we finally have hope.

<div>We recently learned about a procedure called the NanoKnife, performed by Dr. Robert Donoway in Hollywood, Florida. This cutting-edge treatment uses electrical pulses to destroy cancer cells without harming surrounding healthy tissue. It could give my grandmother the gift of more time — time to laugh, to pray, to see her grandchildren grow, and to keep being the light that holds our family together.

<div>Unfortunately, <strong>the procedure and recovery cost about $25,000, and insurance will not cover it.</strong> This includes the hospital stay, anesthesia, and the week of care she’ll need afterward. Our family cannot afford this on our own, but we refuse to lose hope.

<div>My grandmother still insists on taking care of everyone, even when she should be resting. That’s who she is: selfless, full of life, and endlessly loving. She is our world, and all we want is more time with her.
