Help My Dad Fight Cancer

My Dad was diagnosed on September 12 with a rare bone cancer called mesenchymal chondrosarcoma.  What we thought was just a sprained ankle was a tumor that turned out to be malignant. We were all in shock but nothing prepared us for what was next - as a result of the tumor, my Dad had to have surgery to amputate his leg, right below the knee.

He needs to get an artifical/prosthetic limb but it will cost him over $12,000.  The money we raise will help him get a temporary prosthetic as well as a permanent one and help cover some of his medical bills, treatment costs and physical therapy.  He is using a walker and crutches to get around but the prosthetic limb will help him try to regain some of the mobility he had before.

This is by far the biggest challenge we have ever faced. My Dad is ex-military - Army National Guard, an active traveler, biker and loves the outdoors.  The emotional pain by far outweighs the physical pain as he is trying to adjust to the "new normal" as each day brings its own challenges.  As a family, we are all so committed to making sure that we do everything we can to help our Dad but we can't do it alone.  We sincerely appreciate any help you can provide.
