Help raising money for Tanzanian Kindergarten

Donation protected
The problem

The costs of education in Tanzania exclude the poorest children from it. This is mainly due to the kindergarten fees but also other costs like books, uniforms etc. At A Joy there are currently 3 school buildings. The school gives opportunity for free education to around 100 kids in age 2-5.

One of the main struggles for Mr. Albert, the director of the school, is the success to keep the school sustainable while giving access to free education. They have been recently donated solar panels that power installations enabling access to clean water. Food resources are also very little, they often have days with no lunch or dinner.

The goal

Our goal is to support A Joy to raise enough funds to build 2 more classrooms and a library on the free area next to the existing buildings (classrooms).

Ideally this project would enable around 100 more children to have access to free education.

We would like that any constructions of the new classrooms give work opportunities to local laborers and that the materials to be used will be also bought locally.

Why is this important?

This project saves children from child poverty and child labor (many of those children are working long hours on the farmland).
This could also help to cover the gap between the very rich and poor people when it comes to access to the education.
