Help raise funds for Treasa’s Cremation
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted souls,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Treasa Dawes, at the young age of 55. Treasa was not only a loving mother to her son, CJ, a doting grandmother to Harley and Riley Cunningham, a cherished aunt to Quinn, Monte, and Jarvon, and a dedicated colleague to many at Harbor UCLA, but she was also a culinary magician in the kitchen, delighting everyone with her Jamaican cuisine. Her dishes were a true reflection of the love and care she poured into every aspect of her life.
Treasa had a unique ability to infuse humor into every situation. Her comical nature would light up any room, bringing smiles and laughter to those lucky enough to know her. She had a gift for finding joy in the simplest moments, reminding us all to appreciate the beauty of life.
Unfortunately, we find ourselves in a dire situation as her insurance funds are currently tied up in a legal battle. Treasa’s body rests at the mortuary, and due to her health conditions, which included pulmonary hypertension and lung disease, she has not been embalmed. This means that time is of the essence, and we urgently need your support to expedite the process.
We humbly ask for your immediate support during this trying time. Your generous donations will go directly towards covering the expenses for Treasa’s cremation and memorial services, allowing us to give her the farewell she deserves without further delay. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference and help us honor her memory while preserving her dignity.
Treasa touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, love for cooking, and her comical spirit, even in the face of health challenges. Let’s come together as a community to celebrate her life and ensure she can rest in peace. Please share this campaign with your friends and family to help us reach our goal and say goodbye to Treasa in the most respectful way, with the urgency that the situation demands.
Thank you for your compassion, love, and support during this challenging and time-sensitive period.
With gratitude,
Courtney Cunningham
