COVID-19 Relief Fundraising for India: Organized by the Indo-Canadian Community of Hamilton and Region, Canada.
India's COVID crisis has engulfed the nation; pyres are burning all through the night, people are losing their loved ones on their way to hospital due to shortage of oxygen. And Hospitals have no bed. In the villages, poor are starving - they have lost their livelihood. India Canada Society of Hamilton and Region, with the help of community at large, is raising funds to be sent to Mahila Shanti Sena (India), a rural women's peace and development organization, to help with food, transportation of patients, and Oxygen. This organization was set up with the help of the Centre for Peace Studies, McMaster University, in 2002 and several members of our community are working with this organization on a regular basis. Our goal is $15000. India Canada Society has offered $2000 from its own fund as dollar for dollar matching fund. The crisis is worsening by hours! We need your help as soon as please. Please donate!
