The story of A Boy and His Dream is being made into a documentary for Netflix, HBO, Hulu, and the International Film Festival.

While Sunny Akhigbe was beginning his life in1973 in Nigeria, his parents' relationship was ending. He was separated from his mother and was not allowed to see his birth father. As a result of his parent's failed relationship, he was left with his grandparents to seek out a living situation in a small village. From a very young age, he was dealt a tough life.
From being ostracized by a polygamist family, suffering from extreme poverty, hunger, and homelessness to being abused, Sunny shares the painful struggles he endured and how he overcame all of these challenges in the book, A Boy and His Dream.
Thankfully his elders imparted important lessons that Sunny took to heart, including the message that he was in charge of his destiny.
Learning by trial and error and with guidance from God, Sunny explains how he became educated, earned multiple degrees, and immigrated to the United States. A Boy and His Dream Production will be narrating the story of A Boy and His Dream, a man who has come a long way from being an abused little boy in Nigeria. After the documentary is complete, we will be working on a future movie.

Our main goal with this documentary is to emphasize that poverty still plagues the children of Nigeria today. This documentary will put the viewer in Sunny's shoes and show them the world from his perspective.

Our second goal is to inspire our audience to persevere through their hardships through Sunny's example.

There were many times when he wanted to give up and almost did, but he kept pushing and surviving until he could accomplish his dream.

Proceeds from this documentary and the following movie will fund our future projects to

1. Install 100 playgrounds in Nigerian villages to benefit underprivileged children
