Hello Friends and Family!
Thank you for your support even by simply by being interested! I feel your love. I have the incredible opportunity to visit Pemba, Mozambique again!! See my photo? My first trip to Pemba was in 2007 (how in the world has it been so long!). I spent the majority of my time loving on babies in the baby house at Iris Ministries. I adored the children and caregivers to which called me Mama Rachelle. I did not want to leave! That trip made a mark so deep in my heart I have ached to return for years now. I am hoping to again meet some of the babies who will now be teenagers! Like the first time, I will be traveling as a team member under Global Awakening. What’s unique and awesome is my dad, Carter Wood is leading this trip!! I’m really excited about this.
Since I’m so close, I am also pursuing a short visit to Emojeni Ministries in South Africa where some of my dear friends are missionaries. This too is a children’s ministry where they reach out to village kids. How cool would that be to visit!!
Now in all reality, this trip is coming up FAST. The dates are May 26-June 8th Mozambique and TBD to South Africa.
I truly am truly facing the need for miracles!! I appreciate your support of prayer and finances as you are able. You are part of my dream!! Thank you!!
Please know that if this preparation falls through (though i’m hoping it will all work out), I will apply all efforts and contributions towards the next missions trip, which is most likely to Brazil in September.
These are my needs:
* Mozambique Global Awakening trip cost is $3,699 (due in full by April 27th). Includes flights, food, and lodging.
*Passport/Visa fees $600 estimated (expediting fees extra)
Flight from Mozambique to South Africa (possibly) $TBD (possibly $600)
*Living expenses back home $1,000
*Prayer for expediting Passport and Visa processing (time is tight)
* Prayer for me before, during and after the trip.
