Help Rachel in her international medical fight

Rachel’s Back story -
April of this year, my dearest friend, Sister - Daughter, Granddaughter and Aunt,  Rachel Hughes broke the news to her family and friends that she was fleeing the nest and taking a big leap forward in her path of life to go traveling, - a life goal she had only ever dreamt of achieving.

It was during this unstable and unpredictable time that  she had stepped out of a long-term relationship, and felt desperately that it was now or never to find inner peace and tranquility, to fulfil her time away from the constant reminder of life.

Sadly; seven months into Rachel’s Spiritual journey, we answered the phone to some unwelcome and seriously distressing news that we never expected to hear, seventeen hours away from her safe place of home in North Wales, Rachel and a relatively new Vietnamese friend she has made, “has been involved in a Serious Road traffic accident involving a scooter and a lorry, on a dark countryside road.”

.....Our hearts sank.

The uncontrollable ache and need for the ones who love her, to be by her side was immediate, in a foreign country where the language barrier is an ever-present obstacle. We were left unsure what hospital she was being treated in after being moved three times. Unfortunately Rachel’s travel insurance became invalid before her accident which has sadly left her with a medical bill she is financially unable to pay while in the critical condition she is in.

Rachels Medical Treatment;

At the time of writing this, Rachel has been diagnosed with Concussion, two broken ribs (requiring a corset brace), a broken collar bone, which has recently undergone painful corrective surgery; - metal pins have been inserted to correct and re-situate the bone.
Our precious soul Rachel, also has a painful impact/friction skin Burn to the knee after sliding against and hitting the ground...

However, the most terrifying is the uncertain injury that lies within our beautiful girl’s Brain. Most of the impact force was taken by her head, which has left her with a severe bleed on the brain. Surgery was required almost immediately to release some of the inter-cerebral pressure fastly accumulating within her skull.

Her head wounds will be painfully re-opened in fourteen days time to release any blood accumulated during the bleed. However, after receiving the latest updates off the doctors, we are left in despair and worry, after being informed whether Rachel will need a serious operation to correct her brain, or not. This will then be followed up by at least three weeks of intense physiotherapy in order be able to be deemed medically safe to fly back to the UK.

The cost;

This is where we need your help! This-is the plea of desperate young woman who throughout her young life has selflessly given so much to everyone else in order to make those around her happy and sadly now it is her who needs it the most!

(even in her circumstance,  She’s sill at it, admitting to giving away her hospital meals to other unfortunate patients whilst she’s tube-fed.)

We have until 20/12/19 to pay medical fees, which so far have totalled up to £3500, however, every night she’s in hospital care, the bill goes up by £50,  so the true amount is so far unknown. We need your help just as much sharing this on all social media platforms, and in any way possible to get it out to as many readers in order to reach our short deadline.

We can only pray and hope people have it within their hearts to donate anything that will help us achieve our goal. we will always be eternally grateful in your efforts helping someone you may or may not know, make it back home to the safety of her family and friends.

On behalf on my beautiful best friend,Rachel,

Thank-you.
