Rachel is my wife, mother of four, grandmother of six, and the owner of Sword N Stones in Casper, Wyoming. For the past five years, she has battled an autoimmune disease that has left her in and out of the hospital, constantly seeing specialists and fighting for her health. Despite these challenges, Rachel has shown incredible strength and resilience. She faced a difficult past with alcoholism, but through her determination and support from loved ones, she went to rehab and has been sober for over two years. Her journey is a testament to her courage and the love she has for her family, friends, and community.

 Now, Rachel needs a liver transplant to have a chance at a healthier future. Before she can even be placed on the transplant list, she must undergo a series of extensive medical tests. Once she is on the list, we will need to make arrangements to care for her store in her absence. When the time comes for her surgery, both Rachel and I will have to temporarily relocate to Denver, Colorado, so she can receive the care and rehabilitation she needs. I will be traveling back and forth from Casper to Denver to manage the store and continue working, which will add to our expenses. After the transplant, Rachel will require long-term medications and ongoing care to ensure her recovery.
