My name is Kristen and I am sharing on behalf of my lifelong friends, Rachel and James Bond.

Rachel found out via social media on Thursday, 8/14/25, that their mother, Karen McConnell (Bond) died unexpectedly in Egypt where she had been living for the past year. The details surrounding her death are unclear at this time and she has been working with the US embassy and an attorney there to get answers and details surrounding the criminal investigation and autopsy.

As you can imagine, the attorney fees as well as repatriation is very expensive from abroad. This is a very large burden to carry as the family is already grieving an unimaginable loss.

I am asking for financial support, as I know they would never, to help ease this burden for a family so dear to me. No amount is too small and I know they appreciate any support during their time of grief.
