<div>Hi, I’m <strong>Rachael Adams</strong>—artist, small-business owner of <a href="https://casparcuriosities.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Caspar Curiosities</a>, and (most importantly) a friend who now faces a devastating diagnosis of <strong>stage 4 breast cancer</strong>. I’m starting this fundraiser to ask for help covering the overwhelming costs that come with lifelong cancer treatment: out-of-pocket medical bills, time away from work, travel to appointments, and basic living expenses while I fight for more time.

<div><strong>My Diagnosis</strong>

<div>In June 2025, I discovered a lump that led to imaging and a biopsy. On <strong>September 4th</strong>, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. After a <strong>PET scan on September 17th</strong>, my care team confirmed the cancer had spread further than anyone hoped. On <strong>September 22nd</strong>, I was told I now have <strong>stage 4 breast cancer</strong> that has spread into <strong>my spine,</strong> inside my <strong>breastbone </strong>and inside my <strong>skull.</strong>

<div>My doctors told me that I will be in treatment for the rest of my life. They will never remove my port, and while the hope is that ongoing treatment will keep the cancer managed, my prognosis is about <strong>five years</strong>. I’m determined to use that time fully, surrounded by love, art, and community—but I cannot do it alone.

<div><strong>Why I’m Asking for Help</strong>

<div>I run an online small business (<a href="https://casparcuriosities.com" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Caspar Curiosities</a>), and while I love what I do, cancer doesn’t clock in or out. Treatment days, side effects, and recovery periods reduce my ability to pack orders, photograph products, and keep the shop running at full speed. That means <strong>less income at the exact time my expenses are rising</strong>.
