Harry lost his fight for life
Donation protected
Harry is a beautiful 6 year old sports horse, well-mannered and very chilled. On Nov 2nd Harry’s life changed, possibly forever.
Fireworks had been going off most of the evening, but just after midnight there were several really loud bangs. We think that this was what spooked Harry. He ran blindly and tried to jump the hedge. Sadly, Harry impaled on a fence post. Harry was not found until the following morning. He was stuck in a ditch, freezing cold, and not very responsive.
The photograph above shows the extent of Harry’s injuries
The rescue took 5 hours. Experienced yard staff, vets, a local farmer and the RSPCA all assisted in the rescue.
It was thought that Harry would not survive the trauma, however with the care and veterinary skills or Richard Owens Vets, Harry responded and is starting his slow recovery.
Harry’s owner Laura knows Harry may never be ridden again, she just wants him to have the best chance and the best life he can.
I am asking for donations of any size to help pay towards Harry’s vet bill and rehabilitation.
Harry still remains with Richard Owens vets, and it is unknown when he will be able to return home. Laura visits him daily and although she sees the improvement in him she is totally devastated with what has happened to her beloved horse.
Please help Harry.
