<div>we are fleeing a domestic situation where my father offered us a home and place to start a business, and arbitrarily decided to harass and torment us after adopting a particularly bad drug habit. from barging into our space screaming, to locking us out of the laundry, to shutting off our hot water, to physically cutting the internet cable so we couldn't contact the outside world, we were unable to be secure and safe, and chose to flee in the face of further escalation.

<div>we have used the funds we have to put all of our possessions into storage, and to pay for gas as we commute and search for a new home where we can be safe. we are based rurally, so travel and groceries are markedly more expensive than in urban centres, and we have quickly found ourselves scrabbling for purchase.

<div>we are in a short-term situation in a friend's pottery studio, but with my disabilities and roger's work being based over an hour away it's swiftly becoming difficult to manage.

<div>all funds would go to the expenses of moving - first month's rent, damage and pet deposit for our elderly cat being the primary need, with any other money going towards the rental of a vehicle to move our home from storage.

<div>being forced from our home also forced the closure of my new community-oriented business, four crows curios, which had gathered over 20 local artists in the community's work for sale. while the re-opening of crows is much further down the road, a stable home will help rebuild and support the endeavour. likewise, the musical and theatrical working of roger, started with a role in The Mosquitos, needs the same.
