<div><strong>Hello, my name is Daniel Hargrove and I am fundraising for my mother, Qiana Briggs.</strong> In 2017 doctors discovered she had multiple uterine fibroids (tumors) in her body. These tumors have steadily worsened her quality of life over the years. The fibroids cause her chronic pain, fatigue and life threatening menstrual cycles since she is also anemic.

<div>My mother is in dire need of a hysterectomy, the surgical removal of her uterus, so that she can live a normal life. Even though her health insurance would cover the procedure, she cannot afford to take 2-3 months off of work to recover from it. All she can do is struggle to make ends meet as her body rapidly breaks down from the stress and symptoms.

<div><strong>To put it simply: we need a miracle to turn things around. My mother has no one to depend on financially in order to get the help she needs. This GoFundMe is the last chance we have to make this happen. I want to fundraise the money she needs to pay for rent, food, bills and utilities for 3 months so that she can get this procedure.</strong>

<div>If you know my mother, then you know how much she has sacrificed for her family. As a single mother she raised me, nursed her own disabled mother back to health, and supported countless other friends and family. However, she has been doing all of this while living paycheck to paycheck as a licensed cosmetologist.

<div>She has tried to power through all the pain and complications over the years, but her body is failing to keep up. She is continuously losing hours at work and finds it hard to complete basic tasks without severe fatigue. This has only been exacerbated since she contracted Covid-19 in 2021 and still suffers long-term symptoms from the virus.

<div>My mother is the most selfless, caring, loving and inspirational person I know. She has touched the lives of so many people and has stood as a beacon of hope in her family and community. She believes that one day a breakthrough will come in her situation, and she deserves to have her faith rewarded.
