Help put Domingo "Luis" to rest

Hello everyone. On June 14th, Domingo "Luis" Rodriguez was found unresponsive, fighting for his life. It his believed that he was assaulted. Luis was left brain dead from his injuries, and took his last breath on June 16th, alone except for two kind people, friends who came to be with him in his final hours.
Luis was a very sweet man, a part of the Buca family for well over ten years before it closed down almost 6 months ago. Luis was a very hard worker, and ALWAYS had a smile on his face, accompanied by his sweet laugh when he would say hello to you. He was a man of few words, but he could make anyone elses day better with that smile, and he often did. The world has lost a kind soul.
No one deserves to have their life ended that way, especially such a sweet older man, who was quiet and kept to himself. The disrespect for our elderly is out of control, and a story like this is especially heartbreaking. We as a Buca family have all pulled together in the wake of this tragedy, and want to make sure that Luis has a proper burial, and a beautiful funeral that is a celebration of his life. If his family is unable to be located (as is the case so far), we would like members of the community to join us in this celebration of life, so that this man can be surrounded by love as he is laid to rest. The medical examiner will keep Luis until someone is found, but if they cannot find anyone I will be updating this page with information about his funeral, so that anyone in our community may attend .
The family of Buca Di Beppo is hoping to raise this money to give Luis a proper burial, as the state is unable to locate his only known family member, a son who we do not have any information on at this time, but who may be in the Chicago area. Please give what you can, and please share this page in hopes of finding his son. No one deserves to die alone and Luis deserves to be remembered and celebrated in a proper way.
