The beautiful town of Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic is a very high tourist attraction city. It is known for its rich vibrant culture, historic landmarks, clear beaches, rivers, and extraordinary mountains. Despite these beautiful attractions and having the politest people you can ever encounter, this town has communities that struggle in deep poverty. My uncle has dedicated years to contributing to these communities by supplying schools with essentials out of his own pocket, year after year. He alone will buy supplies and personally go to each child's home and hand-deliver them a backpack full of essentials. However, this year has been a difficult one for him due to the increase in prices, shipping costs, along with the high import fees.

We are anticipating spending at least $2000 for the 2026 school year. This will cover backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, and crayons. In addition, this upcoming year we would like to add a small educational toy or an age-appropriate reading book to each child, along with soap and laundry supplies to ensure proper hygiene and cleanliness while boosting their self-esteem. These children are eager to learn, and your donation will give them motivation to attend their classes daily.
