This fundraiser is to help a loving and caring father modify his son’s van only means of transportation for his handicapped son.

Patrolman Sokheng “Jason” Seng has worked for the Borough of Ambridge Police Department for the past 13 years, and a part-time patrolman for Baden Borough. Ambridge is located North Western Pennsylvania, Beaver County. During this time he has helped countless members of the communities in which he serves. He is an advocate of community policing, and partners with members of the community to build a better relationship with the police. Jason and his wife are not the type to ask for help, Jason works overtime constantly, details, and extra shifts at a second police department to support his family. As his fellow officers, we watch him as an officer, father, and a husband consistently give to others and now want to try to help him with this vehicle conversion.

Jason’s son Collin is 12 years old, since birth has suffered from a debilitating defect. Collin suffers from a partial deletion of his 18th chromosome, this has confined him to a wheelchair. Collin is non-verbal, wheelchair dependent, and will require constant care for the rest of his life. Jason is the sole provider for his family of 4, his wife Kelli stays home to care for their son and 5 year old daughter Emma.

Taking Collin on road trips in the car were easy for Jason or Kelli when he was younger, simply lift Collin into their family van and off they went. Collin has grown through the years, making lifting Collin into the van nearly impossible Kelli and a struggle for Jason. Even when he has to be lifted into the van, it makes transporting the rest of the family and Collin's wheelchair a tough task for any father. This adds stress on Jason and Kelli, ,making doctor’s appointments, trips to the store, and even a family vacation nearly impossible. With work, Collin's appointments, logistics, and the transportation issue, Jason has been unable to take his family on vacation in over two years.

Jason and his wife are trying to get their 2017 Toyota Sienna Van modified to accept Collin’s wheelchair, the cost of this is roughly $20,000 - $23,000 to purchase the necessary equipment, and to have the equipment installed into the van. In the event the fundraiser goes well, any access funds received over the goal, will be used for home modifications, and a much needed family vacation.
