Help provide surgery for Atlas

Baby Atlas needs this surgery to survive!


Not only was Atlas born into a home where he didn’t receive basic care like nutritious food, vaccines or flea medication, he was born with a persistent right aortic arch. He had no hope of survival until he was rescued and relocated to a safe and loving foster home with Pacific Animal Society, but now he needs your help getting his life saving surgery before it’s too late.

Simply put, a persistent right aortic arch is an abnormality of the blood vessels, and Atlas’s aortic arch is wrapped around and restricting his esophagus.  This makes it hard for Atlas to eat and it has already begun to stunt his growth. If the surgery is done early enough, before he grows to much, he has a great chance at a full recovery and a long life. This means Atlas needs his surgery as soon as possible!

Atlas visited a veterinarian right away for lab work and a referral to a specialist. As soon as enough funds come in he will be scheduled for his consult and surgery. We don’t know what the total expenses will be, but we are estimating it will run at least $4,500. This number may be adjusted as we get more details, but if any extra money is raised it will go to help the other animals at Pacific Animal Society.

Atlas is an amazing puppy with a special spirit about him, and I just had to do something to help save his life. I hope you’ll join me in giving Atlas a chance at life!
