Help Provide Counselling for People in Need

I am Ed, I live in Cambridge and work here as a mental health counsellor. I love Cambridge, its history, its vibrancy and its diversity. However, there is more to the city than the chocolate box view of punts on a river. Covid19 has had a huge negative impact on the mental health of many residents. Many have found themselves more anxious, stressed and lonely during lockdown. For others, it has been far worse.
For people who struggle to make ends meet, private counselling is not an option. And, via the NHS, waits for counselling of several months are common and the number of sessions available is usually limited to six. Far too long for far too little if you are in a crisis.
I want to address this issue, but I need your help.
I work as a self-employed counsellor with Cambridge Counselling Service (CCS). I would like to find a way of offering 20 sessions of counselling via CCS and, possibly, other organisations in Cambridge, to those who are struggling with their mental health and have few financial means.
This is roughly six months of sessions allowing for breaks. I believe this the minimum amount of time needed to see someone through the worst of a crisis or allow them to begin to affect real change.
I think the realistic goal is to try to provide counselling for 10 people, I would need to raise £3550 to do this.
In exchange, I will go into training to run 50km on 10th October 2021, which is World Mental Health Day. This is just over 31 miles. If we exceed the fundraising target, I will add an extra mile for every additional £355 raised, to a maximum of 50 miles! That is me running an extra mile for every additional person we manage to raise funds for.
