Help Program For Kids Replace A Stolen Trailer
Tax deductible
For the past three years, Brookside Community Play has hosted free community events at Brookside Park. Every Tuesday in June and July, 250+ kids and adults join in basketball games, soccer matches, relay races, and more in an effort to provide families safe places to play together. Each week, the staff hauls equipment in a 12-foot trailer to set up at Brookside Park.
On May 26th, staff discovered that the trailer and the equipment inside were stolen – 10 days before the first Summer Play event. The trailer and supplies inside were worth over $20,000. The supplies included a portable soccer pitch, generator, game equipment, and giveaway items.
Brookside Community Play is now asking the community to come together to help us raise enough funding to purchase supplies to keep our Summer Play program running for another year.
