Help Produce Christina's Play

My name is Christina Cruz, and I have wonderful news! My play, "Unspoken Conversations," has been accepted into NY Winterfest 2018! It will have three performances at the Hudson Guild Theatre in New York City the following dates:

January 29, 2018 at 9pm
January 31, 2018 at 9pm
February 3, 2018 at 3:30pm

I have already secured the venue, but there is so much still to do! In addition to being the playwright and the director of it's first production, I am also the producer. I have had three staged readings of "Unspoken Conversations" in the past at the Limelight Theatre, Montclair State University, and Luna Stage Company. The script has gone through several drafts and talk back sessions. 

We will need funding for the following:

100% of the ticket sales will go to NY Winterfest 2018, and rightfully so. They are providing me with a beautiful, professional venue for three nights at a resonable rate. 

Having the play on its feet and produced is an amazing step forward not only for me but for the cast as well. In addition to being able to win Best Play, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, etc. at NY Winterfest, it is amazing exposure for the 4 actors in the cast. We are working hard already to try to secure agents, casting directors, and reviewers, etc. to be in the audience. The show will also be filmed so that it can be used for the actor's reels - a vital entity which assures future casting and employment in the business. 

$7500 is our dream goal. The money we will collect will first go to our crew, the set, lighting, and costumes. By collecting $7500 or more, we will be able to compensate the actors for their time and hard work. 

Any donation, no matter how small will help! We need to start collecting donations right away because we need to secure our crew, production materials, and rentals. Knowing how much we can realistically afford will help us in the creative process that has already begun. 

All donors will be listed in our program for the show!

Loosely based on true life events, "Unspoken Conversations" is a historical fiction that examines the private lives of Frida Uhl, August Strindberg, Frank Wedekind, and Tilly Newes. 

Play Synopsis:
At twenty-years-old, Frida Uhl believes she knows all the answers to her life and future. A progressive thinker and budding writer, Frida hopes to advance her career and social status with her marriage to the famous playwright, August Strindberg. Yet, one chance
meeting with a mysteriously quirky man in the park changes everything Frida thought she knew about life, happiness and desire.

"Unspoken Conversations" contains strong adult lanauage, mature adult themes and adult content.
