Help Prince fight T-Lymphoblastic Lymphoma
Donation protected
Little did we know, on June 10, 2022, our lives would be forever changed.
After a cough and a mass appeared on my 12 year old son Prince's neck, we visited the urgent care. I foolishly thought that he had an inflamed lymph node and needed a round of antibiotics. After a chest X-Ray and Ultrasounds, the urgent care advised that we immediately needed to travel to St. Petersburg, FL to John Hopkins All Children's Hospital. A quick ER visit and more testing, and he was addmitted to the ICU. A large mass was pressing on his heart, lungs, and airway. 24 hours later my entire world came crashing down when the doctors advised they were pretty sure he had a form of Lymphoma. After many more tests, CT scans, Pet Scans, Echocardiogram, more tests a biopsy was scheduled. Days and days went by with no answer. Finally, on June 16, 2022, doctors advised that the final pathology report was not yet back, but they were 99.9% sure the mass we were seeing was a tumor and was T-Lymphoblastic Lymphoma. We were immediately scheduled for a Bone Marrow biopsy, spinal tap, PIC line insertion, and chemo's first round. June 17, 2022, prior to surgery, the final pathology showed the same findings. We are still awaiting the bone marrow and spinal fluid pathology back to know if this is still a lymphoma diagnosis or if it will be T-Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
My son was just like any normal kid before this. He is an avid basketball player, involved in Glow Rides on his bike, involved in the local church, and, more importantly, a big brother to two little sisters, Daniella (8) and Penny (4).
These funds will be used to cover the mounting expenses caused by this diagnosis. We are looking at 2 1/2-3 years of treatments, so the long road is ahead. Induction Chemotherapy began on 6/18/2022.
If you are unable to donate, please join me in prayer for complete healing for my baby. Thank you in advance.
