Thank You All For Help In Time of Need

Don protégé
Just a quick word of thanks to all those who helped out in time of extreme need - three years ago, things were truly nightmarish: mind, memory nearly totally gone, malfunctioning after either because of untreated pneumonia ("its just a cold, its bound to go away at some point" Right? NOT) or the powerful antibiotics used to treat it (whole smorgasbord of apparently powerful antibiotics, which apparently can have serious side-effects. Who knew? I surely didn't: thought pneumonia just a worse-than-usual cold & antibiotics just a more powerful form of cough medicine: wrong on both counts...whoever said that ignorance is bliss certainly wasn't talking about medical issues...)
So...this is picture from a little over 3 years ago,  DAY 17 of some as-of-then-unidentified 'cold' , according to my notes. when I'm just staring at myself, thinking, 'when will this shit end?'   (Well, maybe never - and if I hadn't finally gotten myself to a hospital, I would have been what most likely ended...)
And still waiting on hip surgery, but physical pain one can usually get used to (up to a point) and have basically had bad hip for so long now that don't even remember what it was like before...(ah, yeah - "when we were young/ and full of grace" - well, those days be over, for now at least), and for now, elective surgeries like mine is considered are temporarily cancelled or postponed anyway...so will have to live with it for a while longer...but what the hell: like I said, by now, kinda used to it...
So when people ask me if I'm worried about current coronavirus scare, I tell them, "Hell, no - I been feeling half-dead for 3 years now anyway"  &  brain still can't track and juggle sequential thoughts enough to write a coherent Woodlake newsletter, which is a shame & a pity, since no one else seems to be doing it, but hopefully sometime in upcoming year -
So, once again, thanks to everyone who helped out during a very difficult time, and God Bless you all - NIck
