Help Prevent Eviction After Leaving Abuse

Donation protected
This past December (2024), I made the decision to leave the home of an abusive family member, with no clear plan of where to go next. I bounced between hotels, friends' homes, and my car on some nights, before finally getting my own apartment. This is my first apartment, and while I'm very happy about it, and proud of myself for taking this step into adulthood, I was not prepared for how demanding it would be financially, nor for how it would affect my other financial obligations, mainly medicine. During the time I was essentially homeless, my insurance ran out, leaving me with no resources to seek out help with my mental and physical issues. After being in this apartment for two months, I'm faced with the possibility of eviction. I hate that I have to resort to this method, as I work 40 hours a week, but my paycheck is barely enough to cover the rent, let alone the expenses for my meds (including a thyroid hormone), along with my car payments. I just need to be able to stay here for another month, while I figure out if I need to find new place, get a second job, or both. Obviously, no one is in any way obligated to give this the time of day, I'm just very desperate, and thought I wouldn't hurt to ask. Thank you for your patience with me, and thank you for allowing me to make this request.
