Help Pregnant Shelby Beat Cancer!

Dear Friends and Family,
I am Shelby’s son. I haven’t been born yet, but my birthday will be sometime in early January. I already know I have a beautiful and wonderful mother that loves me beyond measure. I am so excited to meet her!
Today my mom was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. I know she can beat this with the help of all of you. Please help lessen my mother’s stress and support her recovery by giving to this fund. The money raised will help with medical expenses and will aid in getting her friends and family to her side (she recently moved to Texas far away from friends and family).
I love my mom so much and I know you do too (if you don’t know her, trust me, she rocks). She told me all about the beautiful people in the world and so I know I can count on you to support her. I heard “it takes a tribe” to raise a child, so I think that forming a tribe around my mother now will help her so much.

Your kind contribution will be used for:
· Medical costs
· To create a cycle of support for Shelby. Friends and family are on a rotation to fly to Texas to help Shelby through appointments, procedures, surgery, labor, and helping with baby Keeper. Funds will make it easier to ensure she always has someone there.
· To get Shelby the best food and additional treatments possible. We want to nourish and shower her with anything that will get her better faster. Baby Keeper needs his mama healthy, and fast!
· To give Shelby, a single mother and sole provider, any financial support needed for living expenses as she takes substantial time off from work to receive medical care.
Shelby’s story:
Shelby has looked forward to being a mother for so long. She was a surrogate for two different families and gave them the ultimate gift of children. In 2017 she decided to become a mother herself and dedicated her time and energy to conceiving her son through IVF. She calls her son “Keeper” because, well, she gets to keep and raise this baby. What a joy! During a recent routine OB GYN visit, Shelby pointed out a lump in her breast to her doctor. The medical team immediately sent her for an ultrasound and biopsy. Today (11/18/19) she was told she has breast cancer. Of course, having breast cancer is very difficult, but it is made more complicated and stressful because Shelby is 30 weeks pregnant. The more we can lessen Shelby’s worries and stress the better. We know that helping with medical bills and having friends and family by her side as she navigates through this tough time is essential. If you know Shelby you know her smile, love, kindness, and constant positive energy. She lights up the world! If you don’t know Shelby, believe us when we say that she is one of the most beautiful people on this planet. We all love her so very much and want to do everything possible to help her during this crazy journey. We appreciate every positive thought, prayer, and dollar sent in honor of our Shelby!
