My name is Sarai, after a recent move to Fort Collins with my partner Joel our baby boy Posh unexpectedly fell ill. We were out of town when he started showing symptoms of a potential fall and was taken to the emergency vet for the first time by our pet sitters.

He initially was able to come home for a couple days and seemed like he was improving, but unfortunately as of today I noticed blood in his urine and immediately made an appointment with another vet. They said his issues were emergent and recommended taking him back to the ER. two separate emergency visits later, our baby Posh has to be hospitalized overnight for further evaluation.

Still with not a clear idea on what is going the costs of the tests and emergency visits are already starting to stack up it is expected to cost 8000 dollars. We love this boy with all our hearts he is one of the most loving animals I have ever known and I want to give him every chance to get better!

UPDATE: after spending two nights in the ICU Posh was able to come home yesterday! The team that worked with Posh suspects he has a spinal cord injury caused by a disk rupture. He is expected to recover although he has a long road ahead.

Between bloodwork, hospitalization, MRI, and future check ups and testing, the cost is expected to continue to rise. Any continued support is beyond appreciated!
