Help Piotr's children visit him in hospital

Thank you very much for the overwhelming support.

I stopped the fundraising, since we have overachieved our goal - nevertheless I think all donations will be well used to improve the state of our fellow balloonist. It is great to see that all balloonist are so connected.

I am in contact with Piotrs son in Poland and will call him tomorrow to arrange the transfer details. Piotr is doing better with a long way ahead of him.

Will let you know as soon as I know more.

During the 66th Coupe Aeronautique Gordon Bennett race in October, 16 balloons took off from Albuquerque, NM. In the course of the race, team Poland 1's balloon came to contact with power lines. While one pilot suffered only minor injuries and was already able to return to Poland, the copilot's injuries were quite serious. He is still hospitalised in Dallas, TX and is expected to to stay there till at least mid November.

The two adult children of Piotr H. live in Poland and unfortunately cannot easily afford to fly to the USA to visit their father.

This fundraiser aims to help them collect enough money for airfare to Dallas. Thanks to the caring ballooning community, I believe we will be able to support Piotr and help him heal faster.
