<div>On Monday, August 24, 2026, what started as a normal day turned into our family’s worst nightmare.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>While shopping inside a Dollar Tree in Inkster, Michigan, our mother, <strong>Phyllis, was brutally attacked and stabbed more than 13 times by a stranger in an unprovoked attack. </strong>She did not know her attacker.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>After losing an extreme amount of blood, our Mom was rushed to the hospital by EMS in critical condition. She has undergone several surgeries, and by God’s grace, she is alive and stable. She remained in the ICU for over a week and was hospitalized 3 weeks.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our Mom still has a long road to recovery. She now has been discharged home but needs 24/7 care. The <strong>physical, psychological, emotional, and financial challenges have already become overwhelming, and we are asking for help.</strong> Our goal is to make sure she has the time, care, and resources she needs to heal without the added burden of financial stress.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Even with insurance, the costs of her medical care, rehabilitation, home care, medications, transportation, and everyday living expenses have quickly become more than our family can carry alone.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>That is why we are humbly asking for your help as we work to raise $250,000 to support our Mom throughout her recovery and help provide the care and resources she will need in the months ahead.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We know that not everyone is in a position to donate, and we completely understand. If you cannot give financially, sharing this fundraiser, keeping our Mom in your prayers, or simply sending a kind word to our family means more than you know.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This has been the hardest season of our lives, but the outpouring of love, prayers, and support we have received has helped carry us through moments when we didn’t know how we would keep going.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Above all, we thank God for covering and protecting our mother, for giving her strength, and for allowing her to make it through the unimaginable. We continue to pray for complete healing, restoration, and strength for the long road ahead.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with our family during this incredibly difficult time. We are forever grateful for every prayer, every share, every donation, and every person who chooses to stand beside our mother as she fights her way back to health.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>With love and gratitude,
</div>
<div>Her children,
</div>
<div>Brittany &amp; Nehemiah
