Over the last ten years we have faced a lot of challenges and hard times. Often we have been at a crossroads where we were unsure if we could endure the hardships that come with owning a restaurant. We have done our best to get through those times and continue with what we consider the most rewarding time of our lives, if not also the most difficult. We love our community, our employees, our little corner of this world. We love having gotten to know you over that time, getting to meet new people and watch them become a part of the Ray’s community.
As with many businesses, Ray’s is facing a very uncertain future at this moment in time. These challenges are unprecedented, and perhaps even insurmountable. We are doing everything that we can to get through this but again, as with many other businesses, if anything else happens that could affect our ability to do business, it most likely will mean total collapse.
We want to be here when this all passes. We want to be able to bring back the 24 employees that we have had to furlough. We want to be able to close the doors for public safety if asked or told to do so. We want to survive this, so we are swallowing our pride and asking for your help.
We are creating this campaign as a part of the Small Business Relief Initiative #SmallBusinessRelief started by Gofundme. We have decided to do this so we can keep supporting our employees as much as possible. To keep supporting our families. To get back to what we have had, or make it even better for our amazing Ray’s community, when all this craziness is over.
Please feel free to ask us (Eli and Miranda) about our story. A lot of you already know because of how close we have become.
