<div>Superior’s Greg Day was diagnosed with cancer earlier this summer and was undergoing treatment (expected to recover) when he died unexpectedly Tuesday, July 16. He leaves behind his wife, Peggy, son, Devin, many good stories, and a mountain of medical and funeral bills. Anyone who ever worked with Peggy — at The Telegram, the Duluth News Tribune or all her other part-time gigs — knows what a hard-worker she is. She doesn’t complain or ask for help, but she could use help now. We are hoping her friends, past and present co-workers, fellow Class of 1985 grads, UWS and UMD classmates and anyone who cares about her, Greg, or Devin (whose wife, Becca, is expecting in September), will contribute something toward the costs that are looming in a time when the shocking loss of her husband is all Peggy should have to worry about.
