Pedro* is a father and a husband who was taken from his home in Virginia after a traffic incident. His family opened the door believing it was the police knocking, only for Pedro to be apprehended and taken away to ICE detention.
Pedro was deported after 15 years of living and working in the DC area, taking him away from his wife and young children. He has been active in his church community and has supported many community members when they have faced trouble. His family, friends, and colleagues know him to be kind, patient, hardworking, and someone who does his best to support and guide his children.
Pedro’s wife and his three young children have lost the main income earner in their household and are facing mounting legal fees as they have try to find a way for Pedro to come home.
