Funds raised are managed by the organizing team and are used solely to provide rental assistance to families facing housing instability. The Minnesota non-profit certified charity, Open Your Heart to the Hungry and Homeless, is the organization managing these funds and applications.

<div>Families in need are identified through community connections and are invited to apply for assistance. Requests are reviewed based on proof of need in communication with property management, including how far behind rent may be, household size, and whether children are present in the home.

<div>Assistance is prioritized for families experiencing the most urgent housing risk. Funds are paid directly to landlords, property management companies, or service providers whenever possible. Records and documentation are maintained for each distribution to ensure accountability.
