Help Pay for Sweet Rescue Kitty's Medical Care!

In the evening of New Years' Day, a kind neighbor shared on a community forum that a cat was hanging out around her house and hiding under her back porch steps. Within an hour, a few resident cat lovers were able to come and safely and humanely trap this little guy. He was clearly desperate for food (he devoured some wet food and treats immediately), and he was damp, muddy, and shivering from the cold. We also noticed he had a visibly injured back leg. It was also clear to us that he was a young cat, maybe less than six months old judging by his size. He was quiet, accepting and lucid as he was put in the back of a van and taken to his first temporary home.

The amazing Kate Franco has been fostering and caring for this little man in her home, and with some TLC and patience, he has relaxed into a sweet, purring kitty (with a little bit of fear and irritability, still, reflective of whatever trauma he had recently been through that caused him to be stuck out in freezing rain). He does not have a chip and has not been claimed on any local Lost Pet forums to date. 

Before he can be taken to a cat shelter for adoption, he is need of immediate medical care. While his leg seems to have improved, it still needs to be examined and he also must go through a routine initial wellness and health check which will most likely be followed by shots and potentially other unforeseen procedures.

Right now, everything is currently being paid for out of pocket by residents who were kind and caring enough to welcome him into their homes. Please help contribute whatever you can to making sure he can be referred to a loving shelter that will be his most likely pathway to adoption.
