Help pay for Stark's surgery

Donation protected
My beloved Stark, like many of us, has not had the best year.

In May I took him to the vet ER for what was likely acute dehydration.

In July he was supposed to have surgery, but had lost weight and was too light to go through the surgery.

During the followup to his failed surgery attempt the vet discovered he had lost even more weight and should go right to the ER. Which is where he ended up staying for two days. While there he was diagnosed as having hypercalcemia and needed to see an internal medicine vet. Thank Everything for her and regular visits, as she diagnosed him with hyperparathyroidism (as possible to his previous hyperthyroidism diagnosis). The medicine he was on to manage his thyroid came with an unexpected side effect of making his skin thin. Which led to his needing stitches twice this fall: first on his leg in September, then on his belly at the start of November.

Because he would need to be anesthetized to get the belly stitches, the vet decided it would be best to also do the surgery he was supposed to have in July. She also wanted to remove one of his parathyroid glands in the hopes it would help with the hypercalcemia.

I didn't even have to think about considering  all this medical work for my boy, he is worth it a thousand times over. But his vet bills have run to five digits this year and it's just too much. The money I am asking for will cover the cost to pay off his surgery and hospital stay from November. Any extra will go toward paying down the debt from his other vet visits.

Thank you so much, whether you are giving or just looking.
